The analysis of survey results in the 11 participating countries and the EU more generally aims to present a picture of supply and demand of e-learning in rural areas which will be useful for practitioners in the field and policy makers, taking account of the national context (national policy, ICT development and learning culture) of each survey and drawing conclusion at the European level as well. Regarding provision of e-learning in rural areas, the analysis shows the variety of available learning products in terms of content and delivery methods, funding, technical infrastructure needed and contribution of the products to innovation and creativity, especially in relation to rural SMEs and micro enterprises. Regarding demand, users and non- users of e-learning are compared to delve further to the constraints that keep a large proportion of rural workers and entrepreneurs away from ICT-supported learning, including socio-economic profile, attitudes and access to the necessary infrastructure and equipment.
